Wanna know my top tip for getting tracks finished and released? 1) Watch much less TV. That's the main one! But also 2) Getting organised. I keep a spreadsheet with all my ideas and tracks, logging what stage each is at, as well as tempo and genre. When (or if) it comes to release time, all the metadata you need also gets added (ISRC, Tunecode, catalog number, etc).
It has become my go-to place to find out what needs doing whenever I have a free evening or spare time. And I can pick the task I most feel like doing, or which is most pressing. Making the time profitable.
